Base Salary
$127k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement tools, pipelines, metrics, and automation for Waabi’s autonomy system and generative AI simulator.
- Own the processes and tooling for discovering relevant data across petabytes of real-world data.
- Build reliable data extraction and labelling systems and integrate outputs from third-party vendors.
- Define labelling taxonomies, validation rules, and success criteria with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage end-to-end deployment of data solutions that provide high-quality labelled data to ML teams.
- Deploy open-set and embedding models to production for search and data-curation capabilities.
- Champion high-quality, structured, and tested code.
- Contribute to project roadmap planning, prioritization, and delivery.
Requirements
- 4+ years of industry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, machine learning, or a related technical discipline.
- Proficiency in Python and strong software engineering fundamentals, including experience writing high-quality, well-structured, and well-tested code.
- Strong experience with data pipelines for large-scale processing and analysis.
- Understanding of cloud job orchestration, monitoring, and instrumentation best practices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with a collaborative and open-minded working style.
- Passion for self-driving technologies and solving challenging technical problems.
- Preferred experience includes ML pipelines, dataset curation, labelling, training and evaluation, or self-driving technology.
- Preferred familiarity with linear algebra, 3D geometry, MapReduce or orchestration frameworks, frontend development, open-set or embedding models, and infrastructure as code.
