Responsibilities

Design and implement real-time DSP algorithms, microcontroller firmware, and digital circuits.
Optimize signal-processing algorithms and embedded systems for latency, throughput, memory usage, and processing efficiency.
Verify and validate systems while conducting code reviews, design evaluations, and testing.
Investigate, debug, and resolve complex real-time system issues to ensure reliability and robustness.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical guidance and best practices.
Design systems that comply with applicable regulatory standards.
Propose solutions to technical challenges and contribute to process and workflow improvements.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
Stay current with DSP and microcontroller technologies and introduce innovative system-design approaches.

Professional experience designing, simulating, implementing, verifying, and validating digital circuits on DSP and microcontroller platforms.
Professional programming experience in C++ and C.
Knowledge of real-time operating systems, including FreeRTOS and Zephyr.
Experience using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal generators.
Experience with peripheral standards and communication protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, RS485, RS232, and RGMII.
Familiarity with Bash and Python scripting.
Proficiency with source-code revision control, especially Git.
Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.
Knowledge of SHARC or equivalent DSP architectures is desirable.
Knowledge of CMake, digital signal-processing algorithms, complex digital electronic circuits, GitLab, Docker, Artifactory, and FPGA technologies is desirable.
Experience with application-layer protocols such as DNP, 1588, and MQTT is desirable.
Knowledge of electronic components and PCB reworking is desirable.
