Base Salary
$126k - $248k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and design new MongoDB Atlas features.
- Design and operate encryption, compliance, key-management, and related security systems in production.
- Lead complex technical projects and fleet-wide production rollouts.
- Work with product and design teams to develop user-focused technical solutions.
- Partner with customers and support engineers to resolve cluster encryption and key-management issues.
- Collaborate on the codebase, engineering best practices, and design principles.
- Mentor team members and participate in Atlas’s production on-call rotation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Experience writing large-scale, distributed backend systems in a compiled language such as Java or Go.
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience launching a new feature and maintaining it in production.
- Preferred experience with cloud key management such as KMS, Key Vault, or Cloud KMS; IAM; private networking; or encryption in a production SaaS environment.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, curiosity, collaboration, and motivation.
