Base Salary
$165k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop highly reliable software solutions used across multiple SpaceX teams.
- Design and rapidly create applications that improve machine-shop production cycle time and accelerate the process from CAD to finished part.
- Own software development end to end, including design, testing, and deployment.
- Understand user problems and create efficient software solutions.
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews and contribute to team collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, physics, or another engineering discipline.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience, or 7 years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with full stack development.
- Preferred experience developing, debugging, and deploying real-world software applications.
- Preferred programming experience with Python, JavaScript, C#, .NET, Java, or a similar object-oriented language.
- Preferred frontend experience with Angular, React, or a similar JavaScript framework.
- Preferred experience with nginx, haproxy, Redis, Make, pip, npm, NuGet, UNIX-like operating systems, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
- Preferred knowledge of computer architecture, networks, AI tools, and software problem-solving approaches.
Benefits
- Base salary range of $165,000 to $265,000 per year, with potential stock or long-term cash awards, discretionary bonuses, and employee stock purchase plan participation.
