Base Salary
$94k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy full-stack software for platform, product, and enterprise engineering initiatives.
- Write production-quality code, APIs, automation, and integration tools for distributed systems.
- Build and operate scalable services across data centers, edge devices, and cloud environments.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests and participate in design reviews and RFC or incident-retrospective processes.
- Build monitoring and alerting systems and collaborate with application teams to improve reliability and performance.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, including participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
- Create products and software solutions that improve rail network operations and support high-speed, large-scale predictions.
Requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related field, or two years of relevant software development experience without a bachelor’s degree.
- Experience programming in at least one modern language such as Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience developing, testing, and deploying high-quality software in production systems.
- Familiarity with observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with secure coding practices.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams, communicate with stakeholders, and learn new technical concepts quickly.
- Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, cloud or public PaaS experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, and experience delivering highly reliable distributed systems.
- Preferred experience includes React, Angular, Node.js, Spring Boot, and distributed-system management platforms or control planes.
