Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality software according to engineering standards, processes, and best practices.
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and support software applications and features.
- Participate in Agile activities including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Assist with task decomposition, work planning, and effort estimation.
- Conduct and support unit testing, performance testing, and system integration activities.
- Create and maintain system and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and Defence stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
- Support continuous improvement across software engineering processes and practices.
- Follow company policies, security requirements, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in a Software Engineer or similar role.
- Experience developing applications with ASP.NET, C#, HTML, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Transact-SQL, including stored procedures.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with unit testing methodologies and frameworks.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational, prioritisation, written communication, and verbal communication abilities.
- Active NV1 Defence Security Clearance or higher, with the ability to maintain it.
- Compliance with AGSVA security clearance requirements and International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, Microsoft Visual Studio, Agile/Scrum, Microsoft software development and test products, or Defence networks is desirable.
