Responsibilities
- Analyze product specifications to assess cybersecurity risks.
- Implement security measures and data recovery plans.
- Install, configure, test, and upgrade security software in a product laboratory.
- Secure networks using firewalls, password protection, and other systems.
- Inspect hardware for vulnerable access points.
- Create and implement information-security policies, standards, controls, processes, and technological controls.
- Perform technological monitoring and collaborate with team members.
Requirements
- Be exclusively enrolled in and pursuing a college diploma or university degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related program.
- Have knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Have knowledge of network products such as Cisco.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity is preferred.
- Knowledge of ISO 27001/27002, ITIL, COBIT, distributed systems, and real-time systems is an asset.
- Knowledge of vulnerability-identification and log-aggregation tools such as Rapid7 InsightVM, Kiwi Syslog, or Splunk is an asset.
- Demonstrate collaboration and teamwork.
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada and meet Canadian Controlled Goods Program requirements.
