Base Salary
$70k - $109k/yr
Responsibilities
- Test ArcGIS Location Platform services, APIs, and developer workflows and document issues clearly.
- Create test plans, automated checks, prototypes, sample applications, code samples, tutorials, and documentation.
- Contribute to the design and development of the platform website and developer dashboard.
- Improve developer onboarding, account, credential, usage, and billing experiences.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, product, documentation, and support teams on product improvements and releases.
- Gather developer feedback and turn it into practical product improvements.
- Support community outreach through blogs, videos, workshops, demonstrations, and conference presentations.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of related programming experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, .NET, or a similar language.
- Basic understanding of web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with APIs, JSON, HTTP, or software testing through coursework, personal projects, internships, or previous employment.
- Familiarity with Git or another source-control system.
- Interest in mapping, cloud services, developer tools, product design, or technical communication.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, written communication, verbal communication, collaboration, and learning skills.
- Willingness to present technical work and travel occasionally for events.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, GIS, interaction design, or a related field.
