Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain standard and object-oriented ABAP programs.
- Build and consume OData services and RESTful APIs, including API performance tuning and security.
- Analyze product backlog features and identify missing information needed for development and testing.
- Perform technical design and code reviews for ABAP and API architecture.
- Ensure continuous integration and delivery of ABAP objects and API updates.
- Participate in Scrum processes, daily meetings, and weekly meetings with internal and external Product Owners.
- Contribute improvement proposals and support colleagues and project issue escalation.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Communication, Electronics, or Computer Science.
- 1–2 years of professional experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Hands-on experience building and consuming OData services and APIs.
- Proficiency in SAP Gateway, the OData protocol, RESTful API design, JSON, and XML.
- Strong knowledge of core and object-oriented ABAP on SAP NetWeaver.
- Experience with Data Dictionary objects, reports, ALV reports, SMARTFORMS, Adobe Forms, and enhancements.
- Experience with BADI, BDC, BAPIs, external API consumption, SAP HANA, CDS views, and exposing CDS views as OData services.
- Exposure to SAP UI5 and Fiori and familiarity with SAP modules such as SD, MM, QM, and FICO.
- Excellent English communication, troubleshooting, debugging, ownership, and communication skills.
