Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures for on-premise, edge, and cloud digital products.
  • Define and govern cybersecurity-by-design requirements across global R&D product development and the software development lifecycle.
  • Conduct security assessments, audits, risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and mitigation planning.
  • Manage compliance with ABB Product Security requirements, IEC 62443, GDPR, NIS2, ISO/IEC 27001, and applicable regulations.
  • Respond to security incidents and coordinate investigations, corrective actions, recommendations, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Implement access controls, encryption, and other controls to protect sensitive data and digital assets.
  • Ensure CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices include cybersecurity controls and security testing requirements.
  • Collaborate with product owners, software developers, architects, testers, auditors, and geographically distributed stakeholders.
  • Contribute to cloud and edge software systems while following agile and scrum-based development practices.
  • Communicate technical security concepts to non-technical stakeholders and share knowledge across global teams.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in computer science with a focus on IT security is required; a cybersecurity-focused PhD is a plus.
  • At least 10 years of experience in product or system cybersecurity for industrial or critical systems.
  • At least 5 years of experience in cloud computing, with strong knowledge of security principles, technologies, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and proficiency in cloud services and management tools.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Podman for container orchestration and management.
  • Proficiency in OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and identity management solutions such as Keycloak.
  • Experience using Helm charts to manage Kubernetes applications and deployments.
  • Strong understanding of microservices design and architecture, including loose coupling, bounded contexts, and domain-driven design.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP are preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, project management, and prioritization skills.
  • Knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies and the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and programming languages.
  • Professional English communication skills; German may be needed for positions based in Germany.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for office or site visits.
