Responsibilities

  • Lead software development projects from concept through implementation and ongoing support.
  • Own, integrate, maintain, and evolve acquired lock-related intellectual property, including firmware, mobile applications, Bluetooth communications, PCBA interfaces, and cloud platforms.
  • Architect, design, code, test, troubleshoot, and deploy scalable SaaS and connected-device solutions.
  • Coordinate internal teams, distributed engineering resources, external consultants, contractors, and technology partners.
  • Contribute to front-end, back-end, iOS, Android, hardware/software interface, database, API, and cloud platform development.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog prioritization, release management, code reviews, mentoring, and software quality processes.
  • Manage technical risks, dependencies, schedules, performance, reliability, cybersecurity, regulatory requirements, vulnerability assessments, and penetration-testing efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, with equivalent experience considered.
  • At least seven years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Experience leading technical projects, software teams, or cross-functional development initiatives.
  • Experience with full-stack and mobile application development, SaaS and cloud architecture, API design and integration, SQL and NoSQL databases, UI/UX principles, software architecture, testing, and deployment.
  • Experience working with distributed teams, external partners, and third-party development resources.
  • Preferred experience includes hardware/software integration, embedded systems, firmware, Azure or AWS, connected products and IoT, BLE, cybersecurity, penetration testing, iOS and Android applications, acquired technologies, and physical security or access control systems.
