Base Salary
$293k - $410k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the vision, strategy, roadmap, architecture, and operating model for Reddit’s large-scale GenAI Platform.
- Design, implement, and maintain the LLM Gateway with unified APIs for internally and externally hosted LLMs.
- Develop rate and token limit management, intelligent failover, resilience, scalability, and reliability capabilities.
- Shape the enterprise-grade RAG system and strategic direction for agentic AI workflows and tool-use patterns.
- Own platform strategy from concept through production adoption and long-term evolution.
- Drive MLOps and LLMOps standards for deployment, testing, versioning, evaluation, and lifecycle management.
- Define observability, monitoring, governance, and operational excellence practices for GenAI systems.
- Partner with engineering, product, and leadership teams to align platform investments with company priorities and user needs.
- Influence technical direction across teams while championing platform usability, performance, and developer experience.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in ML Engineering, AI Platform Engineering, or Cloud AI Deployment roles.
- Track record of leading technical strategy and delivering AI platforms in cloud-based production environments at scale.
- Experience operating Kubernetes and other orchestration systems in large-scale production environments.
- Deep experience with cloud-based ML platform technologies, including AWS, Google Cloud Storage, and Terraform.
- Proficiency in ML programming languages and frameworks, including Go and Python.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of model serving, inference pipelines, monitoring, and observability for AI systems is a plus.
