Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and support scalable runtime services, platforms, and applications for AI-enabled experiences.
- Develop backend services using Node.js and Python and build enterprise-grade conversational and interactive user interfaces.
- Create reliable operational practices covering monitoring, alerting, incident response, reliability, safety, and repeatability.
- Design and consume versioned, documented APIs and structured service contracts.
- Build and deliver solutions on a Scrum team serving multiple business units.
- Help teams operationalize GenAI use cases, including evaluation, observability, guardrails, cost, performance, and reliability considerations.
- Provide technical guidance through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Broad experience across the full software development and delivery lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and Python for scalable, maintainable backend services.
- Experience with React or Vue and front-end testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL data stores such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, or ElastiCache, including data modeling and performance optimization.
- Experience with DevOps/SRE practices, monitoring, alerting, incident response, reliability engineering, and production systems.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, using service-oriented architecture, and applying object-oriented programming principles.
- Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger and JSON-based service contracts, including versioning and documentation.
- Exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure, including cloud-native services, deployment pipelines, and distributed architectures.
- Working knowledge of LLM concepts, RAG, embedding-based search, model evaluation, responsible AI, and observability for LLM applications.
- Ability to synthesize business needs into scalable solutions, learn new technologies, collaborate across organizations, and work with product and data science teams.
- Undergraduate degree such as a BS or BA, or equivalent work experience; relevant cloud, DevOps/SRE, or AI/ML certifications are preferred.
