Base Salary
$145k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Embed with finance, credit and portfolio risk, servicing, collections, and operations teams to map workflows, scope problems, and establish success criteria.
- Own delivery end to end, including discovery, technical scoping, system design, implementation, production rollout, and post-launch adoption.
- Build dependable scheduled jobs, triggered jobs, bounded agents, controls, and automations with defined mandates, escalation owners, and pause conditions.
- Develop evaluations and monitoring to verify output correctness as models, data, and processes change.
- Instrument processes with thresholds, exception inventories, alerting, action paths, and named owners so issues surface promptly.
- Build external-facing AI solutions for merchants and partners through Engineering review and deployment standards.
- Create reusable deployment patterns, evaluation frameworks, and agent-harness standards.
- Define impact hypotheses and baselines, measure results, and report business impact, effort saved, control quality, and reuse to executives.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of software engineering or technical deployment experience working directly with business users in areas such as operations, business systems, solutions engineering, or technical consulting.
- Production experience with LLMs, including prompt engineering, agent or skill development, and evaluation.
- Strong Python and SQL skills with experience writing and reviewing production code.
- Data fluency in a lakehouse environment, including extracting answers from governed data, building reliable pipelines, and identifying incorrect output.
- Strong discovery, communication, collaboration, and judgment skills, including the ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with fintech, lending, payments, banking, or another regulated environment is preferred.
- Experience building MCP servers, sub-agents, or agent skills is preferred.
- MLOps or experimentation experience, including evaluation frameworks, staged A/B tests, or model monitoring, is preferred.
- Prior forward-deployed, professional services, or founding-engineer experience is preferred.
