Base Salary
$90k - $132k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of robust software and data solutions.
- Identify automation opportunities and improve the operational stability, performance, and scalability of software applications and systems.
- Work with product managers, stakeholders, business users, and clients to gather goals and translate them into technical requirements.
- Create software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, recommendations, and other technical documentation.
- Evaluate trade-offs involving correctness, robustness, performance, scalability, and customer impact.
- Mentor teammates, conduct code reviews, contribute to architectural decisions, and guide project direction.
- Advance engineering practices involving code quality, documentation, testing, security, deployment, performance, SDLC, and DevOps.
- Evaluate and integrate technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve software development.
- Troubleshoot complex software issues and provide effective solutions.
- Champion responsible AI-assisted development tools and practices across the team.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant data and software engineering development experience.
- High proficiency in SQL, Python, command-line tools, and ETL/ELT pipelines for large datasets, including AI and analytics use cases.
- Experience with cloud platforms and modern AI concepts and tools, including GCP, AWS, AI/ML APIs, vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, knowledge-sharing, and mentoring experience.
- Direct experience working with business users and clients to understand goals and gather requirements.
- Preferred experience with iterative development, Agile practices, and SAFe or similar scaled frameworks.
- Preferred experience with OpenAI, HuggingFace, LangChain, or similar AI/ML frameworks and APIs.
- Preferred experience with BigQuery, Databricks, and other data warehouses or big data tools.
- Preferred experience building and deploying tools, agents, or workflows that orchestrate LLM calls in production or near-production environments.
- Preferred experience with marketing, analytics, and customer data, data/table architecture, APIs for data integration, and cloud data pipeline deployment.
