Responsibilities
- Lead software, electronics, and system-level test strategies and plans across the full project lifecycle.
- Assess project scope, architecture, technical complexity, and delivery risks to establish risk-based test coverage.
- Define and deploy advanced test solutions, automation, continuous test analysis, and evidence-based readiness criteria.
- Evaluate third-party suppliers’ test strategies, engineering processes, quality metrics, technical maturity, source code, hardware designs, and test evidence.
- Govern quality dashboards covering defect trends, test coverage, code quality, risk exposure, and product readiness.
- Lead integration testing for third-party components, subsystems, and software releases within complete Dyson systems.
- Resolve complex test-related issues through root-cause analysis, mitigation planning, and sustainable improvements.
- Engage with engineering leaders and QA leads, escalate quality risks, represent Test & QA in technical forums, and hold partners accountable for quality and delivery commitments.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on capability in at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, C, or C++.
- Deep experience with robotics, sensors, vision systems, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AI, or other connected-product technologies, ideally in complex consumer products or embedded systems.
- Advanced experience with Zephyr, Jira, Confluence, Stash, Git, and Bamboo for test management, collaboration, traceability, and delivery governance.
- More than four years of experience leading JDM/ODM partner testing, quality governance, technical reviews, and delivery assurance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, IoT, real-time operating systems, mobile applications, and cloud-connected services.
- Experience in Agile software development or DevOps environments, including continuous integration, release governance, and iterative quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of software quality assurance, test architecture, automation, quality metrics, and engineering governance.
- Ability to influence cross-functional and partner teams without direct authority and operate independently in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin.
