Responsibilities
- Lead development of robust, high-performance, secure, and scalable Java backend architectures
- Design and evolve RESTful API integrations for enterprise workflows
- Manage SQL environments, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning
- Conduct code reviews and mentor mid-level and junior engineers
- Identify technical debt, reverse-engineer complex logic, document systems, and improve engineering workflows
Requirements
- 5+ years of dedicated backend development experience
- Advanced proficiency in Java and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate
- Strong experience managing SQL databases, complex stored procedures, and performance tuning
- Deep understanding of Git, cloud-native environments, and CI/CD practices, with Azure or AWS experience
- Proven experience with microservices or distributed 3-tier architectures
- Advanced written and verbal English proficiency for collaboration with US-based clients
- Mandatory experience in nearshore/offshore client-facing startup cultures
