Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and scale automated tests for native iOS and Android applications using Java and Appium.
- Execute mobile tests across real devices and browsers using BrowserStack and maintain the associated test infrastructure.
- Integrate automated testing into release pipelines and investigate failures to distinguish defects from flaky tests.
- Collaborate with mobile developers, QE engineers, and product teams on test strategy and automation coverage.
- Report test coverage and quality metrics, contribute to code reviews, and promote automation best practices.
- Explore AI-assisted and agentic tools for test creation, failure triage, and automation coverage improvements.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience automating native mobile applications on iOS and/or Android.
- Experience building and maintaining mobile automation frameworks with Appium and solid Java object-oriented programming skills.
- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber and cloud device platforms such as BrowserStack.
- Experience integrating automated tests into pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitrise, or CircleCI.
- Understanding of mobile application architecture and testing on real devices versus emulators or simulators.
- Preferred experience with mobile performance or accessibility testing, API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured, and cloud device farms such as Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm, or Firebase Test Lab.
- Experience in an e-commerce or consumer application environment and familiarity with AI-assisted or agentic testing tools are preferred.
