Base Salary

$142k - $190k/yr

Responsibilities

Design and implement new features integrating with Disney media services and back-end systems.
Collaborate with peer teams on API design for API services and front-end consumers of shared libraries.
Research, integrate, and test media playback experiences.
Participate in project estimation and resource planning.
Develop Apple-platform applications using UIKit, SwiftUI, AVKit, and StoreKit.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across multiple platforms.
Write efficient, reliable, and maintainable code for improvements, user-facing features, and defect fixes.
Collaborate with small development teams and the broader engineering organization while working independently.

At least 5 years of industry experience in iOS software development, including at least 3 years using Swift.
At least 5 years of experience implementing complex user interfaces with UIKit or SwiftUI.
At least 3 years of experience with agile processes.
Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including early-stage development, maintenance, and end of life.
Understanding of design-pattern trade-offs such as MVC and MVVM.
Knowledge of object-oriented and reactive programming paradigms.
Understanding of the iOS and tvOS application development lifecycle and object-oriented programming.
Experience with unit test frameworks and continuous integration systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Preferred: experience with AVFoundation and its ecosystem.
Preferred: experience with HLS, MPEG-DASH, Transport Stream, and CMAF streaming technologies.
Preferred: experience developing for iPhone, iPad, and tvOS.
