Responsibilities
- Independently plan and execute testing for assigned feature areas, including writing test cases and tracking defects through closure.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and increase automated coverage to reduce reliance on manual regression.
- Execute manual functional and regression testing and contribute to regression suite maintenance.
- Identify quality risks, edge cases, and coverage gaps before production.
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers on testability and acceptance criteria during story refinement.
- Define testing success metrics and align QA work with release readiness and business value.
- Document defects clearly and escalate risks with sufficient context for senior QA engineers.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in software quality assurance or a related technical role.
- Hands-on experience writing and executing manual test cases and test scripts for functional and regression testing.
- Working knowledge of at least one test automation framework such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium, and API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Xray, or TestRail.
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum delivery practices.
- Ability to identify systemic quality risks beyond surface-level defects.
- Experience in a SaaS or technology company environment is preferred.
