Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end system design for large-scale distributed, cloud-native platforms, including APIs, data models, deployment topology, and observability.
  • Define architectural standards and patterns, lead architecture reviews and technical blueprints, and drive modernization of monolithic and COTS systems.
  • Write production-quality full-stack code, build APIs and real-time communication layers, and develop high-throughput data pipelines.
  • Architect and build agentic AI systems using LLM orchestration, tool-use patterns, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, and model evaluation.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and establish AI-assisted development practices using tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Cursor.
  • Apply testing, CI/CD automation, infrastructure-as-code, containerization, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Influence technical direction across multiple teams, represent the organization in architecture and technology forums, and coach engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 14 years of hands-on software development experience across frontend and backend systems, including at least four years in a senior or lead architecture role.
  • Strong experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems using cloud, event-driven, serverless, and microservices architectures.
  • Deep expertise in at least one cloud platform, with AWS preferred, plus experience with infrastructure-as-code and containerization.
  • Strong proficiency in one or more of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Java, or Rust, with the ability to work across the full stack.
  • Experience with frontend frameworks, backend development, databases, API development, testing, and CI/CD.
  • Hands-on experience building production-scale AI applications, agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, LLM integrations, prompt engineering, and AI evaluations.
  • Ability to influence technical direction without direct authority, communicate through architecture documentation, challenge assumptions, and coach engineers.
  • Preferred qualifications include regulated-industry experience, familiarity with GxP, HIPAA, or SOX, open-source contributions, technical publications, platform engineering, developer experience tooling, or enterprise multimodal AI experience.
