
Lead Software Engineer - Cloud Runtime Compute
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Develop and engineer secure cloud runtime compute products and solutions using Terraform, Rego, Sentinel, GoLang, Python, and other languages.
- Improve runtime compute cost efficiency, reliability, performance, and adoption of broader runtime compute strategies.
- Collaborate with infrastructure platform engineers, architects, cybersecurity, product security, SRE, and application teams on threat modeling, investigations, and solution design.
- Apply system design, application development, testing, and operational stability practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Create and maintain user guides, architecture records, design records, and other product documentation.
- Lead adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering and automation tools, including coding, code review, testing, refactoring, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis support.
- Establish secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and AI-output validation standards while coaching engineers on responsible AI use.
Requirements
- Computer Science degree or equivalent expertise.
- Practical cloud-native experience and strong experience with more than one programming language.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and maintaining operational stability throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Ability to navigate complex organizational structures is preferred.
- Experience owning and operating a complex containerized runtime compute solution such as AWS EKS is preferred.
- Knowledge of cloud networking, routing, network policies, cloud roles, permissions, and role-based access control is preferred.
- CKAD certification or strong interest in obtaining it is preferred.
- Knowledge of the financial services industry and IT systems is preferred.
