Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain on-robot software supporting telemetry, remote updates, fleet coordination, and continuous learning.
- Build resilient software for real-time, bandwidth-constrained, intermittently connected industrial robot environments.
- Define software interfaces and architecture based on latency, optimization scope, data flow, failure modes, and development velocity.
- Develop automated test frameworks including hardware-in-the-loop, simulated fleet, and end-to-end integration testing.
- Collaborate with applied science, data infrastructure, fleet management, platform, deployment, and monitoring teams.
- Contribute to robot communication APIs and scalable, multi-tenant platform architecture.
- Use AI-native development practices and AI coding assistants while maintaining industrial software quality and reliability.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems for reliability and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
