Base Salary
$115k - $144k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain FlexSort software for SL2 and other material-flow and material-handling automation products.
- Complete software design, coding, and testing for products intended for industrial material-handling systems.
- Prepare and present software design documents for team review and approval.
- Produce software documentation with the Technical Publications department.
- Participate in technical proposals and assist with technical and user training for customers.
- Support Customer Service and Project Deployment teams remotely and, when necessary, at customer sites to resolve deployment, installation, and software issues.
- Follow software quality assurance, configuration control, ISO 9000, and Development Engineering procedures.
Requirements
- Four or more years of experience in software development, user-interface programming, general programming, and advanced engineering principles and concept design.
- Knowledge of software design methodologies, including object-oriented design, and commercial operating systems such as Windows 10 and/or QNX.
- Programming experience with C, C++, Visual C, and Visual Basic.
- Knowledge of software quality assurance procedures and automated software configuration control systems.
- Strong written, verbal, facilitation, collaboration, and constructive-feedback skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with storage and retrieval systems is a plus; familiarity with material-handling systems is required.
- AB or Siemens PLC, CAN, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, ASi fieldbus, and machine-control experience are a plus.
