Responsibilities
- Develop firmware for embedded systems based on ARM Cortex M0/M4 and Renesas H8 processors.
- Design, write, document, test, maintain, and debug firmware and software systems.
- Analyze existing systems and identify areas for modification or improvement.
- Create technical specifications, test plans, and software design documentation.
- Research new technologies and maintain current technical knowledge.
- Work with systems, test, project, and electrical engineers to support company objectives.
- Advise systems and engineering management on development issues affecting software.
- Follow structured software development lifecycles, safe work practices, and applicable engineering processes.
Requirements
- MSc (Tech), BSc (Tech), or equivalent degree in automation, electrical, computer, telecommunications, communications, electronics engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience developing embedded systems.
- Working knowledge of C in Windows-based development environments.
- Understanding of bare-metal C and RTOS-based embedded firmware development.
- Basic knowledge of BLE, LTE-M, NB-IoT, LoRaWAN, UART, I2C, SPI, GNSS, GlobalStar, and Iridium systems.
- Ability to use laboratory equipment for firmware testing.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Familiarity with other programming languages, Atlassian tools, and Git is preferred.
- Familiarity with EMC, environmental, and safety standards, regulations, directives, and specifications is advantageous.
