Responsibilities
- Help publish SAP Sailing Analytics as an open-source project on GitHub.
- Implement security improvements based on threat-modeling findings, primarily through Java development.
- Create technology showcases and prototypes using data science, large language models, and machine learning.
- Maintain the full-stack solution, including cloud infrastructure, application logic, analytics use cases, UI, web clients, and companion apps.
- Collaborate with the open-source community, review pull requests, and help ensure solution quality and security.
- Optionally support sailing events on-site by operating software, managing race infrastructure, and interacting with event partners and users.
Requirements
- Be a currently enrolled university or university of applied sciences student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Have foundational knowledge of computer science and software engineering methodology.
- Have solid experience with Java.
- Have initial experience building web applications.
- Be fluent in German or English.
- Demonstrate eagerness to learn, reliability, an open-minded hands-on approach, and strong teamwork skills.
- Interest or personal experience in sailing is a plus.
