Responsibilities
- Build and scale infrastructure, interfaces, and applications for Alan’s members, health professionals, and internal teams.
- Work on claims management systems including document processing, coverage calculation, payments, fraud prevention, and mobile and web experiences.
- Develop insurance infrastructure including real-time pricing, AI-powered sales tools, and global insurance systems.
- Build customer enablement systems for billing, invoicing, affiliation, employment data, reconciliation, and internal APIs.
- Tackle high-impact and high-risk projects involving multiple engineers and teams.
- Design efficient systems and engineering practices that facilitate collaboration across products.
- Mentor engineers, lead crews, contribute to hiring, and improve the technical assessment process.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of engineering experience.
- Experience with object-oriented programming and willingness to work with Python and JavaScript; experience with Python and JavaScript is not required.
- Familiarity with languages such as Python, Java, or C# and enthusiasm for modern JavaScript and web technologies.
- Passion for building products and a self-starting, entrepreneurial approach.
- Collaborative attitude with an interest in teamwork, learning, and teaching.
- Fluent English; French is not required.
- High potential, curiosity, and willingness to grow are valued.
