Responsibilities
- Own feature development and write clean, efficient, maintainable, production-quality backend code.
- Participate in architecture and system design discussions and build scalable, secure, high-performance solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, identify improvement opportunities, and provide constructive feedback.
- Integrate and optimize AWS cloud services including Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, S3, and RDS.
- Troubleshoot complex technical problems, identify root causes, and implement scalable solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Contribute to project planning and execution and own feature delivery within agreed timelines and scope.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience building scalable backend systems.
- Strong proficiency in Go, Python, or Node.js for backend development.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Understanding of distributed systems concepts including concurrency, caching, asynchronous processing, and fault tolerance.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience deploying applications in containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, including performance optimization.
- Experience with system design discussions and architecture decisions.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, ownership, and collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of Generative AI and LLM fundamentals, including tokens, context windows, prompting, hallucinations, and limitations.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot, including critically reviewing AI-generated code.
- Basic understanding of building applications with LLM APIs, prompting, structured outputs, and tool or function calling.
- Understanding of evaluating AI/LLM outputs with datasets and metrics, measuring accuracy, and detecting regressions.
