Responsibilities
- Design significant components of modern digital service platforms, including automation, build, deployment, and support.
- Build, test, deploy, monitor, debug, and support production services across multiple servers, services, and tools.
- Implement configuration management, infrastructure provisioning, container orchestration, and modern Continuous Delivery processes.
- Produce scalable, resilient, efficient, secure, cost-effective designs that minimize vendor lock-in.
- Use AWS and Azure cloud platforms to solve business problems and apply best practices across infrastructure and application components.
- Contribute to architecture, estimation, product planning, user story and requirements creation, technical decisions, and MVP advocacy.
- Support live operations by maintaining service availability, security, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Coach and mentor more junior team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing activities.
Requirements
- Significant expertise with multiple configuration management, infrastructure provisioning, automation, and scripting tools.
- Fluency in at least one of PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ruby, Go, or Groovy.
- Demonstrable experience designing, building, testing, automating, monitoring, and supporting significant platform components in production.
- Experience designing scalable, resilient, efficient, secure, cost-effective systems and contributing to collaborative technical direction.
- Experience implementing Continuous Delivery processes, using public cloud platforms, applying infrastructure and container orchestration tooling, and using Git.
- Strong team, verbal communication, and written communication skills in multidisciplinary environments.
- Experience debugging complex problems across multiple servers, services, and tools.
- Active Security Clearance is required.
- A related third-level qualification or equivalent, mid-level public cloud certification, cloud-native SaaS/PaaS experience, and experience mentoring junior staff are desirable.
