Base Salary
$140k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement secure-by-design principles across software platforms through threat modeling, architecture reviews, and risk assessments.
- Drive security patch release processes for product vulnerabilities and secure software controls.
- Perform impact assessments and security testing to validate the security posture of products and software updates.
- Integrate cybersecurity practices into software development lifecycle processes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps workflows.
- Collaborate with software engineering, algorithms, quality, regulatory, risk management, and product teams on cybersecurity compliance and product lifecycle security.
- Review third-party applications and drivers and support vulnerability assessment and cybersecurity lifecycle management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, software engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years focused on cybersecurity or product security.
- Working knowledge of secure software design, application security, and cryptography technologies.
- Experience with threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, risk-based security decision-making, and software development lifecycle cybersecurity integration.
- Experience working in agile development environments.
- Preferred experience in medical devices, healthcare technology, safety-critical environments, cloud-native architectures, embedded systems, or hybrid software ecosystems.
- Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, OWASP, or similar cybersecurity standards.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CSSLP, and experience managing information security in medical device manufacturing environments, are preferred.
