Base Salary
$173k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own ambiguous, high-stakes customer and technical problems end to end through discovery, design, and working implementation.
- Design maintainable tooling, integrations, and automation while improving engineering practices through design reviews, code review, and mentorship.
- Architect and operate secure cloud environments across Google Cloud Platform and AWS, including IAM, networking, infrastructure-as-code, containers, and CI/CD.
- Build batch workflows and interactive analysis notebooks for large-scale data processing and analysis.
- Connect customers’ internal data, tools, and processes to Workbench.
- Analyze customer technical needs, recommend implementations, and train customers and technical partners.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience designing and building production software, with strong software design and architecture depth.
- Expert-level Python and fluency in at least one additional programming language.
- Hands-on cloud and platform engineering experience across GCP and AWS, including IAM, security, networking, infrastructure-as-code, containers, and CI/CD.
- Demonstrated ability to independently own ambiguous, high-stakes, customer-facing technical work end to end.
- Excellent communication and project-management skills across multiple concurrent workstreams.
- BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred qualifications include mentoring engineers, leading technical design reviews, or serving as a technical anchor; substantial open-source, personal, or production code; Kubernetes and containerized workload operations; Microsoft Azure; clinical or health-data standards such as OMOP and FHIR; and large-scale data workflows, BigQuery, batch pipelines, or statistical analysis.
Benefits
- US base salary is $172,500–$194,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
