Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment velocity and reliability.
- Provision and manage infrastructure through infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, and Ansible.
- Implement observability, monitoring, alerting, metrics, logging, and distributed tracing for applications and systems.
- Contribute to platform reliability through automated testing, performance tuning, and operational improvements.
- Integrate security and compliance practices into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure workflows.
- Develop scripts and automation for infrastructure provisioning, builds, and application deployments.
- Configure and manage cloud-hosted and on-premises application environments and resources, including servers, virtual machines, and containers.
- Administer Linux and Windows systems, including patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Manage application servers, middleware, messaging systems, and virtualization technologies.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, and operations teams on infrastructure and deployment initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices and cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
- Practical experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines, including GitLab CI/CD.
- Proficiency with Terraform, Terragrunt, or Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience administering Linux and Windows systems.
- Experience managing and deploying applications on JBoss and Apache servers.
- Experience configuring and managing RabbitMQ or similar messaging systems.
- Familiarity with AWS and VMware virtualization technologies.
- Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs, and subnets.
- Exposure to Java and scripting with Bash or Python.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Dynatrace.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience designing infrastructure and automation solutions for complex, scalable applications is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Certified Kubernetes Administrator are preferred.
- Experience in large software teams or enterprise IT environments is preferred.
