Forward Deployed Engineer

- Discover and technically scope AI use cases by analyzing workflows, data needs, feasibility, risk, value, and scalability.
- Design end-to-end AI solution architectures covering user experience, models or platforms, data, APIs, integrations, security, monitoring, and support.
- Lead or contribute hands-on to prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and minimum viable solutions, then guide successful solutions into production.
- Advise on AI agents, GPTs, copilots, workflow assistants, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt design, evaluation, grounding, and orchestration.
- Create reusable reference architectures, components, templates, playbooks, and implementation guidance for scalable AI delivery.
- Partner with engineering, platform, cloud, cybersecurity, data, governance, and business teams to ensure secure, compliant, maintainable adoption.
- Define measurement approaches for adoption, business value, solution performance, and production impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, technical deployment, enterprise architecture, AI engineering, data engineering, or a similar technical role.
- Experience designing and delivering complex technical solutions in large enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with AI, generative AI, machine learning, automation, API-based integrations, or modern application development.
- Ability to write, review, or guide production-quality code in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or similar languages.
- Experience with cloud architecture, identity and access management, data integration, application integration, APIs, and enterprise security considerations.
- Strong understanding of large language models, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, evaluations, and model behavior.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business workflows and requirements into technical solutions and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred qualifications include deploying AI in regulated or global enterprises, using ChatGPT Enterprise, OpenAI APIs, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, or agent frameworks, and creating reusable architecture or developer enablement materials.
- Understanding of data governance, privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, responsible AI, and relevant life sciences, healthcare, manufacturing, or scientific domains is preferred.
