Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture and roadmap for SHI’s eCommerce platform.
- Design, develop, implement, deploy, scale, and optimize software solutions across cloud platforms.
- Establish software design patterns, coding standards, architecture practices, and technical documentation.
- Lead architecture reviews, technical decisions, design processes, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, security, DevOps, customers, end users, and business stakeholders.
- Mentor and coach engineers and architects and promote high-performance software development practices.
- Guide cloud adoption, DevOps practices, observability, reliability, testing, integration, and developer efficiency.
- Troubleshoot software defects and design and release fixes as needed.
- Create and maintain architecture diagrams, documentation, standards, and visualizations.
- Travel up to 10%.
Requirements
- Completed bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- At least 5 years of experience with DevOps methodologies.
- At least 5 years of experience with C#, React, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Intermediate ability to create clear technical documentation.
- Intermediate understanding of web application functionality, security measures, and software development best practices.
- Intermediate ability to design, develop, and integrate APIs.
- Intermediate expertise in designing, creating, and maintaining databases.
- Intermediate ability to implement and manage DevOps practices including continuous integration, continuous delivery, infrastructure as code, and monitoring.
- Intermediate understanding of software development lifecycle practices from requirements gathering through deployment.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences and mentor others.
- Ability to analyze complex problems, manage competing priorities, and lead cross-functional initiatives.
