Base Salary
$105k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-team evolution of middleware patterns and runtimes for interoperability at scale.
- Define versioning, deprecation, rollout, API lifecycle, and interoperability strategies.
- Design, develop, test, debug, troubleshoot, and optimize scalable software and services.
- Drive shared observability baselines, SLOs, error budgets, resilience patterns, monitoring, and service reliability.
- Develop software architecture, performance optimization, scalability strategies, and technical standards.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, mentoring, code reviews, and architectural leadership to engineers.
- Investigate and resolve complex customer issues and defects, incorporating feedback into product enhancements.
- Perform system maintenance, upgrades, patching, automation, testing, and debugging operations.
- Coordinate moderately complex projects, timelines, deliverables, and work across multiple initiatives.
- Participate in candidate interviews, assessments, and hiring recommendations.
Requirements
- Advanced software development and software architecture experience sufficient to design and guide complex scalable systems.
- Experience with distributed systems challenges such as high-throughput ingestion, large-scale data processing, low-latency queries, storage efficiency, and multi-tenant reliability.
- Experience with software testing, debugging, performance profiling, optimization, API integration, versioning, and lifecycle management.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives, enforce engineering standards, and coach less experienced developers.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, resilience, service availability, maintenance, and secure coding practices.
- Ability to collaborate with engineering teams, stakeholders, and customers to resolve broad and complex issues.
- Experience coordinating projects and contributing to hiring and talent development.
