Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Microsoft Security, Compliance, Platform Engineering, AKS, and App Service partner teams.
- Build and maintain secure, distributed, scalable, and resilient service infrastructure.
- Apply cloud security, identity and access management, network security, and compliance standards.
- Architect, build, and maintain automation frameworks and tools for backend services, APIs, and frontend applications.
- Establish DevOps processes for releases, live-site operations, buildout environments, and toolchains.
- Participate in on-call and Site Reliability rotations while maintaining live-site health and service availability.
- Execute the full software development lifecycle from architecture and implementation through deployment and live operations.
- Contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, engineering excellence, and process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements.
- Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Science, or another technical field.
- Preferred: 3+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping applications or services.
- Preferred: technical design, system design, online services, object-oriented programming, coding, debugging, and problem-solving experience.
- Preferred: good English communication, learning ability, self-motivation, adaptability, and AI-assisted coding practice.
