Base Salary

$51k - $101k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and system components.
  • Participate in software verification and validation through unit, integration, and system-level testing.
  • Develop, execute, and document software test procedures and test results.
  • Support automated test solutions and continuous integration pipelines.
  • Participate in requirements, design, risk management, and architecture reviews.
  • Debug software and system-level issues using development and diagnostic tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to satisfy functional, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support software documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Contribute to code reviews, defect resolution, software quality initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Follow Abbott quality system procedures and software development processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 0–2 years of related work experience.
  • Strong programming skills in object-oriented software development.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies and software testing practices.
  • Experience with source control and version management tools.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Preferred experience with C++ and C# software development.
  • Preferred experience with GUI frameworks such as Qt and familiarity with embedded Linux environments.
  • Preferred knowledge of software verification and validation and automated testing frameworks.
  • Preferred familiarity with CI/CD tools, build automation, Git, CMake, and Python scripting.
  • Preferred exposure to regulated industries such as medical devices, aerospace, or automotive.
  • Preferred understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure software development practices.
