  • Architect low-latency, high-reliability push-to-talk and real-time voice transport systems.
  • Develop transport abstraction layers across multiple radios and networks.
  • Optimize latency, jitter, packet loss, handover behavior, and overall wireless performance.
  • Collaborate with RF, hardware, and firmware teams on end-to-end system performance.
  • Drive modem integration with vendors such as Qualcomm and MediaTek and support carrier certification.
  • Implement QoS, prioritization, and congestion-control mechanisms.
  • Contribute to encryption, key management, and secure-boot integration.
  • Define wireless performance metrics and instrumentation at scale.

  • Experience with real-time systems and low-latency audio transport.
  • Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, UDP, RTP, QUIC, and QoS.
  • Familiarity with RF performance constraints such as RSSI, SINR, handovers, and link budgets.
  • Experience debugging packet-level and radio-layer issues.
  • Preferred experience with mission-critical communications such as LMR, MCPTT, or public safety systems.
  • Preferred experience with 3GPP standards, 5G sidelink or PC5, mesh or MANET routing, secure communications, Android/Linux device platforms, and satellite backhaul or hybrid transport systems.
