Responsibilities
- Deeply understand customer goals and existing engagement journeys through technical and experiential discovery.
- Help customers articulate the real problem to solve, not just the technology they think they need.
- Rapidly design and prototype conversational flows and system architectures using various tools.
- Test ideas early through demos, pilots, and Proof-of-Concepts to build confidence.
- Translate validated experiences into secure, scalable architectures for long-term success.
- Partner with Account Executives to understand business objectives and engagement challenges.
- Lead technical and experiential discovery sessions to uncover user needs and opportunities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders on AI-augmented communications.
- Design and demonstrate intelligent conversational experiences using Twilio products.
- Define interaction patterns and escalation paths between AI and human agents.
- Shape conversation flows that are clear, contextual, and brand-aligned.
- Build compelling demos and prototypes to bring customer engagement stories to life.
- Support strategic pilots in large enterprise accounts to ensure technical soundness.
- Use storytelling and live demonstrations to help customers visualize solutions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to drive deal success.
- Contribute reusable demo assets and best practices to the Twilio SE community.
- Support RFP responses and technical presentations throughout the sales cycle.
Requirements
- At least 3 years in a technical pre-sales role in CPaaS, SaaS, or Telecom space.
- Solid understanding of the sales cycle and the role of a pre-sales engineer.
- Experience with voice protocols (VoIP), SIP implementations, or messaging APIs.
- Creativity and problem-solving skills to collaborate with others for success.
- Ability to communicate complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong questioning skills to understand customer needs and guide them to solutions.
