Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage security solutions protecting Braze users and infrastructure.
- Build, maintain, document, and scale security infrastructure across enterprise networking, cloud operations, product, application security, and system architecture.
- Investigate malware, advanced threats, forensic findings, security events, incidents, and escalations.
- Expand SIEM capabilities by configuring detections, improving alerting, prioritizing ingestion, and maintaining system operability.
- Implement DLP, policy controls, security automation, reporting, vulnerability testing, vulnerability remediation, and security best practices.
- Secure SaaS applications, email, Mac endpoints, IAM, SSO, MDM, password management, networks, and cloud environments.
- Conduct end-to-end SaaS security reviews covering data flows, technical architecture, authentication, authorization, and contractual security requirements.
- Develop and tune forensic programs across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments, including data classification and incident triage.
- Evaluate current and future technology solutions, recommend toolset and process improvements, and support production IT security.
- Collaborate with Security, Engineering, business stakeholders, and partner teams on security initiatives and deployments.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to critical incidents and escalations.
- Mentor junior associates and guide adherence to security policies and operating procedures.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of Security Engineering experience focused on enterprise security, network security, and endpoint security.
- At least 3 years of hands-on, technical, user-facing experience in a corporate security organization or environment.
- Experience serving as a technical authority within a team environment.
- Hands-on experience securing email, Mac endpoints, IAM, CrowdStrike EDR, enterprise networks, and forensic investigations.
- Experience with modern technology stacks and protecting SaaS applications.
- Experience conducting SaaS application security reviews, data flow analysis, technical architecture reviews, authentication and authorization assessments, and contractual security evaluations.
- Experience designing and continuously tuning forensic programs across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments.
- Cloud security experience is a bonus.
- AI security experience is a bonus.
- Technical security certifications covering advanced security concepts are a bonus.
- Strong communication, organizational, adaptability, autonomy, and collaboration skills.
