Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and operation of scalable, maintainable, and reliable backend services and platform components.
  • Translate product requirements into technical solutions and drive design discussions and architectural trade-offs.
  • Maintain high-quality code through testing, performance improvements, observability, and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with product, business, mobile, web, data, and infrastructure teams on end-to-end challenges.
  • Improve service reliability through monitoring, proactive fixes, incident response, and root cause analysis.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and take ownership during production incidents.
  • Coach engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and knowledge sharing.
  • Drive improvements in engineering processes, developer productivity, and overall system health.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 7 years of software development experience and a history of delivering successful solutions across teams.
  • Proficiency in Go and the ability to write idiomatic, testable, and maintainable code.
  • Hands-on experience writing and operating backend microservices.
  • Familiarity with HTTP/gRPC, MySQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Istio, DataDog, Kibana, and Grafana.
  • Working knowledge of Git and GitLab for version control and CI/CD collaboration.
