Base Salary
$264k - $380k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable distributed systems for Snowflake cloud services.
- Solve large-scale infrastructure, fault-tolerance, availability, performance, and scalability challenges.
- Evaluate trade-offs among consistency, durability, and cost.
- Ensure operational readiness and meet customer commitments for service availability and performance.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers.
- Apply software engineering and analytical problem-solving skills to business needs at large scale.
Requirements
- 15+ years of industry experience designing, building, and supporting large-scale production infrastructure.
- Experience building large-scale distributed and fault-tolerant infrastructure.
- Experience with container orchestration, cluster management, or autoscaling.
- Strong understanding of operating-system concepts, including multithreading, memory management, networking, storage, performance, and scale.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes, Mesos, OpenShift, or other container-platform internals.
