Base Salary
$155k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test embedded software for vehicle charging and power systems
- Integrate supplier subsystems into the Zoox software stack
- Create software requirements, design documentation, test plans, and supporting documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with vehicle, controls, software, validation, and systems engineers
- Contribute to prototyping, requirements capture, design, implementation, and validation across the software development lifecycle
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience
- At least four years of experience developing real-time embedded software for distributed electromechanical systems
- Strong embedded C/C++ programming experience
- Experience with embedded microcontrollers or microprocessors such as ARM and PowerPC
- Understanding of sensors, actuators, and automotive communication protocols including CAN and LIN
- Basic knowledge of control systems for electromechanical systems is preferred
- Experience with CAN and LIN analysis and debugging tools such as PCAN, CANalyzer, and CANape is preferred
- Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up and system debugging is preferred
- Familiarity with high-assurance development practices and tools such as Polarion, ISO-26262, and MISRA C/C++ is preferred
- Experience in power electronics and battery management is preferred
