Responsibilities
- Define and maintain software architecture for power tool platforms and product variants.
- Develop software architectures, frameworks, and reusable platform components.
- Drive architectural decisions related to scalability, safety, and maintainability.
- Establish software design guidelines, coding standards, and architecture governance.
- Conduct architectural reviews and provide technical guidance to development teams.
- Align software architecture with product roadmaps.
- Mentor and coach team members while influencing stakeholders and supporting technology leadership.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience.
- BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in E&C or an equivalent qualification.
- Expertise in embedded C, C++, and Python.
- Knowledge of software architecture using ARC42, design patterns, UML, SysML, and architecture modeling.
- Experience with RTOS such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr and ARM Cortex-based microcontrollers.
- Knowledge of embedded communication protocols, device drivers, and MCAL development.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, DevOps practices, static code analysis, and software quality tools.
- Strong clean-coding practices and the ability to communicate, solve problems, make decisions, and manage stakeholders.
- Preferred knowledge of motor control algorithms, battery management systems, AUTOSAR concepts, model-based design, functional safety under IEC 62841, digital twins, simulation, HiL testing, and AI-assisted software development or design.
