Responsibilities
- Define the platform vision, roadmap, and incremental development strategy for data-labeling systems.
- Own technical projects from problem framing and design through implementation, rollout, code review, and technical decision-making.
- Translate requirements into workflows, APIs, and user interfaces that meet quality, cost, and latency goals.
- Develop automation, dashboards, auto-QA, and autolabel review tools to improve labeling efficiency and data quality.
- Design and integrate ML-driven annotation capabilities including pre-labeling, autolabeling, and active-learning loops.
- Build and test scalable, high-performance full-stack and frontend experiences and services.
- Use and promote AI-powered development workflows such as code assistance, automated documentation, and test generation.
- Collaborate with ML Engineering, Operations, Product, Data Science, platform teams, customers, and other cross-functional partners.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience building robust distributed platforms and applications.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools and agentic workflows for understanding, implementation, debugging, documentation, operational triage, and delivery.
- Proficiency writing and reviewing scalable, performant full-stack code with Python, TypeScript, Go, React, SQL, Redux, gRPC, GraphQL, WebGL, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of scalable software system design, data modeling, and API/interface design.
- Strong foundations in object-oriented design, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, test-driven development, code quality, observability, and CI/CD.
- Passion for self-driving and robotics technology and the ability to communicate, collaborate, influence peers, and work through ambiguity.
- Experience shipping and operating end-to-end production products or features.
- Preferred experience collaborating with customers, product managers, designers, or user-experience researchers.
- Preferred experience with computer vision, machine learning, data-centric AI, data annotation, data quality, or autolabeling loops.
- Preferred familiarity with data-labeling platforms, annotation UIs, workflow engines, quality systems, A/B testing, telemetry, observability, data-intensive applications, or visualization-heavy applications.
