Base Salary
$119k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, reviews, debugs, and troubleshoots secure, high-quality production software.
- Builds and operates AWS workloads using Terraform infrastructure-as-code, including reusable modules, remote state, locking, and environment practices.
- Develops event-driven, networked, compute, storage, and data-platform architectures with attention to performance, resiliency, and cost.
- Automates recurring remediation and improves operational stability through delivery pipelines, validation, testing, and scripting.
- Leads architecture evaluation sessions and Software Engineering communities of practice.
- Drives responsible team adoption of AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and automation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- End-to-end production experience spanning system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Hands-on Terraform expertise, including reusable modules, remote state and locking, and workspace or environment best practices.
- Practical cloud-native AWS engineering experience, including EC2, EKS, Lambda, EventBridge, SNS, SQS, Kinesis Data Stream, VPC, S3, EBS, RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB.
- Strong AWS networking knowledge covering subnets, security groups, NACLs, Route 53, and load balancers.
- Experience designing CI/CD workflows with Terraform integration, automated validation and testing, and scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development practices and coaching engineers on secure, compliant use.
- Exposure to C# and .NET technologies is preferred.
