Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Telia Play applications for Android devices, especially Android TV.
- Design and optimize applications for performance, scalability, automation, and smooth release flows.
- Collaborate with designers and backend developers to implement modern architectural patterns and coding standards.
- Build user experiences using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Firebase, GraphQL, and Telia’s design system.
- Drive automation, code quality, test coverage, and high-quality software delivery.
- Support TV-specific experiences involving remote controls, voice interaction, and accessibility tools such as TalkBack.
Requirements
- Strong experience building scalable, high-quality applications for Android TV platforms.
- Solid proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, including advanced architectural patterns and performance optimization.
- Experience with automation and smooth release processes aligned with engineering best practices.
- Ability to manage Git workflows and maintain high test coverage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- Experience with widely used consumer applications, GraphQL, DASH, or HLS is a plus.
- Experience with TV-specific hardware features, voice interaction, or Android accessibility tools such as TalkBack is a bonus.
