Responsibilities
- Partner with clients and suppliers to gather requirements and implement DCS software solutions in distribution centers.
- Configure and commission software at client sites while traveling approximately 60%–75%.
- Train end users on the DCS software solution.
- Help develop implementation standards and support integration with PLC-based control systems.
- Troubleshoot software issues and collaborate with Software Development to resolve QA and commissioning findings.
- Coordinate software delivery status and testing milestones with the broader material handling project team.
- Contribute to quality assurance, implementation, support, and IT activities.
- Stay current on relevant technologies and industry developments while supporting continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience with material handling equipment or software and implementing software solutions for clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- Ability to use the Linux command line to troubleshoot application issues.
- Understanding of computer networking concepts, including TCP/IP, and software application communication troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Postman, and project management platforms such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 60%–75% to client sites.
- Clear communication, cross-functional collaboration, ownership, problem-solving, and ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
