Base Salary
$46k - $92k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement, test, and document software solutions for telecommunications and IP/computer networking equipment in the cybersecurity domain.
- Develop concepts, identify solutions to user requests, and assess solution feasibility with a product development team.
- Participate in security analysis, software and tool development, software testing, development environment, and system infrastructure activities.
- Use automation tools, lab test equipment, and protocol analyzers in a telecommunications development laboratory.
- Debug system-level issues and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Requirements
- Be a graduating high school senior or currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Networking, or a related field.
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States without needing employer sponsorship now or in the future.
- Have familiarity with software engineering processes, including requirements reviews, code inspection, test plan creation, and system validation.
- Have familiarity with Windows, Linux, and/or Unix-based operating systems.
- Have software development skills in JavaScript, Python, C/C++, or comparable languages.
- Have experience using development tools such as editors, compilers, and debuggers.
- Have knowledge of IP networking and/or telecommunications equipment installation, configuration, and maintenance, plus some experience debugging system-level laboratory issues.
- Preferred qualifications include a GPA of 3.0 or higher, prior internship/co-op or work experience, and professional, community, or extracurricular participation.
