Responsibilities
- Lead the development of components for networking and observability in distributed databases.
- Enhance MongoDB's networking capabilities and resource utilization.
- Build low-overhead observability features to improve system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-team stakeholders to deliver and deploy products.
- Mentor junior engineers and support their professional growth.
- Conduct performance tests and work on proofs of concept for new architectural directions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building distributed systems.
- Proficient in C++ and experienced in production-level code with a large user base.
- Strong understanding of modern computer architecture and internals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good project management skills with realistic assessments of project cost and complexity.
- Solid fundamentals in computer networking.
